Frank Sessions Named Week 1 Player of the Week

Frank Sessions is so humble that when he’s informed that he’s the Drew League’s opening weekend Wilson Player of the Week, he comes off as shocked, even though no one else would be surprised. In the season opener between Frank’s “new” team Tuff Fades and Undisputed, the man with the most nicknames nearly racked up a triple-double, with 23 points, 9 rebounds, and an eye-popping 12 assists on Tuff Fades’ way to their first win of 2023, 94-83.

Frank even defers credit for the win, calling a team effort, “I just love that we’re playing the right way as a team and we just got together,” he says. That could have to do with the fact that his new team is basically his old team, as he retained core teammates like Roshun Wynn, Markus Monroe, and Montrezl Harrell from Public Enemy when he formed the new squad.

They picked up right where they left odd, too, putting on a dazzling display of aerial acrobatics against a familiar foe and enjoying the sort of chemistry that comes from hoping together year-round.We’ll see how far that chemistry gets them but for now, it looks very much like Frank Nitty is having fun with his guys and playing better than ever as a result.
