JORDAN HAMILTON NAMED WEEK 1 PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The Player of the Game for Week 1 is Jordan Hamilton of I-Can All Stars with 38 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists.
While everyone knows the Drew League motto, No Excuse, Just Produce, there’s another, less-known philosophy that has been circulating throughout the league, unspoken, for the past couple of years: When you need a win, get you a Hamilton.
The Hamilton brothers (Jordan, Daniel, Isaac, and Gary) have been mainstays of the Drew for the past decade, contributing to winning culture for teams like I-Can All Stars, Footprint, and Nationwide Souljas. Jordan has been the most consistent of the four, putting up high-scoring performances like the one in I-Can’s season opener against Reapers with cool-headed regularity.
On Saturday, Hamilton was borderline
unstoppable as usual, but what stood out was the new wrinkle he’s added to his game: laser-accurate passing, which found open teammates for 7 assists on the game, contributing to a final score of 93-84. That he did so without a single turnover is proof that there’s always something new you can add to your game… and with that addition, Jordan makes I-Can an early team to watch in the young season. =: @aaronwilliamsthewriter
