Drew League Finals
- A tribute to the Champs from the Commish:
You guys are true Champions!! After many disappointing finishes in past seasons, you are now one of the greatest Drew teams ever (and I have seen them all). Many will ask, "where does this team rank as compared to other Drew champions?" Your answer (and mine) should and will be, "As good or better than them all..." Problems is a team of leaders who have the heart to tell each other to "get it going." As I watched as a commissioner and spectator this year, I witness a team who never gave up and cheered each other on to success. Three years ago this would not have happened, but today I am proud to say Problems is Drew's Champions and the biggest draw in the league!! Congrats fellas and enjoy this one (or should I say these two?)... - The Commish
- August 16th 2008 was a great day!
We started out at 10am with our Youth Basketball Clinic, where over 40 kids participated in drills taught by an amazing group of Coaches -- spear-headed by Mike Montgomery, Coach Tiny, Coach Ware, Coach Clay, Coach Holbrook ,Casper Ware Jr, M'Jumbe Williams, and Ervin Ware. The Kids really enjoyed themselves!
At 2pm the Legends took the floor and showed everyone what Drew is all about!! Over 22 Legends participated.
At 4pm the finals began as Problems played a flawless game in defeating AP1 (avenging an earlier season loss) winning their second straight Drew League Championship!
At 9pm the party began as over 300 people attended the Championship party. Some of us could not stay long (M'JUMBE...), but it was a fun evening! Thanks to Ed Garcia who provided the Venue.
