Announcement from the Drew League

Since 1973, the Drew League has served as a destination for the greater basketball landscape of Los Angeles. It has provided a platform for intense competition, showcased some of the sport’s greatest talent, and gathered a beautiful community to celebrate their shared love for the game.  The health and safety of that very community is of the utmost importance to us all.

Therefore, as we continue to navigate through the evolving impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are cancelling the 2020 Drew League season. Guided by the public safety recommendations by City and State officials, this was not a decision taken lightly. We share in the disappointment of not being able to come together to celebrate and take part in an annual summer tradition. However, it is the right thing to do to protect our community, fans, families, and staff.

We are incredibly grateful and honored for your support and dedication, and we look forward to bringing Drew League back in 2021.

In the meantime,  please stay connected with us all summer through our social platforms as we keep the energy of the Drew League alive through continuous showcasing of  the great athletes, stories and experiences that make the Drew League so special.

Thank you,

Chaniel Smiley
