- Once again I would like to thank all the people who came out this summer to support the Drew league we had a great year. Special thanks to Hank Salvatori, JaQay Carlyle, and Kenny "Bad Santa" Brunner - you guys are great.

 

- Please come out and support the Drew league All-stars this Thursday 8/23/07 as they take on the United States AND1 Street stars 4:30 pm at the Venice Beach Courts.

 

- Come out to see Kenny "Bad Santa" Brunner and Jerry "The Assassin" Dupree play on their AND1 Mix Tape Tour Team at 3pm on Saturday Aug. 25th at the Queen Mary. Gates open at 2pm.

 

- The Drew league 40 and Over league will tip off Saturday Oct. 13th.  Stay tuned to the site, a coaches meeting will be announced later.

- It is now playoffs all 16 teams have a chance to win it all - Good luck! !

- The Drew league continues its reign as the premier Summer league on the West coast. Each year other leagues try to compete with our program but continue to come up short and that is because of the great athletes, coaches and supporters who take pride in being involved in the program. So as the playoffs approach, I ask everyone to please keep your emotions under control because this is going to be a wild ride through the playoffs! Remember to display class and dignity during victory or/and defeat because the Drew league does not guarantee Championships only a chance!

- Daddys home!!! Yes Roc and I-CAN is back, they took the place of Printery and resume under the #19 spot on the schedule.

- We are back home this weekend (6/29 - 7/1) at DREW Middle School, but starting next weekend  (7/6) we will be having the Friday night games at Washington park (6:30pm and 7:45pm)

 

- We would like to welcome back future NBA Draftee Bobby Brown (Cal State Fullerton) who laced them up Saturday for Clutch City & scored 35 pts in a victory over the Panthers. We wish him along with Nick Young (USC) good luck on Thursday's NBA Draft.

- The Drew league had a special visit from Jelly bean Bryant (Kobe's Dad). He hung out all day

- Coaches and players we are trying to run a well organized program, all we ask of you is to please follow simple instructions, we have played only 2 weeks and some teams are just doing their own thing when it comes to players wearing the same jersey number weekly.

 

- At this point if a player doesn't wear the number issued out to them and the table recognizes it your team will be given a technical foul per uniform. Please have your team arrive early enough and take your team folder into the dressing room and issue out the jerseys accordingly.

 

- Special Note: Some teams were not quite honest about their teams and now you are being exposed badly, let's make a deal... Deal or no Deal:  STOP!! Get out & leave before it's to late! Make contact with the Commissioner now and receive part of your fees back! Don't let pride get in your way! Act now before this offer expires because otherwise you may be evicted with nothing in return...

- I wish to welcome everyone to our 34th season. The opening weekend was filled with excitement as we welcomed new players as well as returning ones.

- A special welcome to the Legendary Rob "Sick Wit it" Kennedy (of And-1 fame) who came home to display his talent also Larry "The Bone Collector" Williams (of Rucker Park fame) came by seeking bones and left with a plate full, but no win.

- Young NBA Phenoms Marcus Williams (New Jersey Nets) & Trevor Ariza (Orlando Magic) participated sharpening their skills.

- We ask all players to respect the league by dressing in the locker rooms.

- We save our biggest welcome for Hank Salvatori who continues to support the league 100%, you are a true gift & we really appreciate you.
